I've played with the query for AA all weekend. I keep opening it back up and reading it again and tweaking it again. I think I like where it's at and I can't thank everyone enough for their help. I feel so much better having reworked this.
Redd Wescott loves to draw. He’s inspired by just about anything—Polynesian art, Lake Michigan—but in particular, Anna Gregors. It’s through sketching her that Redd falls for Anna. Too bad she’s going out with his twin brother, Evan.
Not wanting to chase after his brother’s girl, Redd distances himself from Anna until he finds her in the middle of town, bruised and emotionally detached. Redd suspects Evan is to blame because Evan is turning out more like their abusive father than either of them wants to admit.
Anna won’t talk about who hurt her, but Redd’s going to find out, even if the answers lead him to his own brother.
THE ART OF ANNABELLE is complete at 52,000 words and is available upon your request.
Final version? What do you guys think?
